I absolutely love springtime in New York, right behind autumn – it’s one of the most beautiful times of the year to be in the city. The temperature is just perfect, the sidewalks are lined with flowering trees, tulips, sidewalk cafes and merriment from the people now that we’ve been freed from our apartments after a long winter. In a city full of tall buildings, big crowds and limited space, we take our little pleasures when we can get them and enjoy our outdoor time to the fullest.
In the spirit of the season we’re having a party! Over the next two weeks, I’ll be sharing some easy, portable, sharable and perfectly delectable recipes for a spring garden party! Whether you gather it all up to enjoy at the park, have friends over or prepare it for mom in a few weeks, these three recipes and and a cocktail will carry you through the season!
Deciding exactly what to make was the most difficult choice but in the end I wanted items that were light, easily enjoyed at room temperature and could be made ahead of time – or in the case of the salad in just a few minutes. Instead of spending the entire time in your kitchen prepping for your party – this time everything is made ahead of schedule and you can sit down, sip on our cocktail and enjoy yourself.
