Skip the tooth breaking candy apples this Halloween and sip on fiery Cinnamon Candy Apple Cocktails!
Get your pumpkins, candy , ghouls and goblins ready because it’s Halloween time around these parts! With Halloween falling on a Saturday night this year it’s the perfect opportunity to grab your friends, good food, dress up in some silly costumes and sip on spooky cocktails.
I’m not normally a big Halloween person, but it’s always hard not to get swept up into the magic of the holiday, especially in a city like New York and our giant parade every year. We’ve got one for the dogs and one for the humans. It’s a big spectacle that even the biggest grump can’t ignore. Even so, I’d happily take a night in with friends over a packed party or parade route! Give me the food, the drinks and the miniature candy and I’m a happy girl!
Speaking of candy, do you remember those bright red candy apples that only seem to surface around Halloween? The ones you figured would quite possibly break your teeth if you bit directly into one? Well this year, we are saving your teeth from potential damage and turning that candy coated apple into a cocktail perfect for any occasion!
This cocktail comes together easily and quickly with three ingredients thanks to Mike’s Hard Lemonade and their Hard Smashed Apple Cider.
Now I know traditionally speaking candied apples aren’t cinnamon flavored but when I see that red hue cinnamon just comes to mind. Don’t you agree? In my mind, I feel like who ever is in charge of making those apples tosses a few cinnamon candies into the mix for color and a little extra kick.
So I did the same with a little cinnamon whiskey, pomegranate juice for color and the crisp, clean and packed full of apple flavor you get from Mike’s Hard Smashed Apple Cider.
This drink is perfect whether you are spending the night in greeting trick-o-treaters at your door or a big soiree with friends. Mix up a drink for yourself or a big batch in a pitcher. One thing is for sure, you’ve got the spooky, blood red color down and the sweet and tart taste of candy apples!

This is such a festive cocktail recipe, and such a coincidence because the current theme on my new website (The Cookful) is candy apples!
This is the most genius recipe of all time. I cannot wait to try this one. I adore candy apples so this is sheer perfection for a gal like me.
This cocktail is so delicious looking! I have not seen the apple ale but I’m intrigued! Also I totally want to go do a dog Halloween parade…haha.
This is so pretty! And I bet it’s super refreshing too!
Beautiful colors, my family would love this!
Brilliant idea to say your teeth from a potential emergency dental appointment by turning those candy apples into a cocktail! I’ll happily sip on one instead of a candy apple!
I’m on the lookout for that cider and cinnamon whiskey… Beautiful looking cocktail!
Such a pretty and festive cocktail! Great for autumn!
Loving the flavors here! Especially the cinnamon whiskey paired with the cider. Cheers!
I’m not a big Halloween person either, but you’re right. It’s hard not to get swept up in the fun. I’m loving this drink … especially the Mike’s Hard Cider. I’m going to have to head to my grocery store to find a pack of the stuff.
What a fun and tasty cocktail…I love the rich color!
