Sole Meuniere #SundaySupper Simple and Fresh Summer Recipes

IMG_5239.jpg It is hard to believe that I have been writing this blog for a year, and have yet to post one Julia Child recipe. Whenever I am asked, who is my favorite chef, past or present, Julia is always my answer.  I grew up watching her on TV with my parents; my mother loves her too, and  would occasionally break out her first edition copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking to make us a special dinner.

This weeks theme for #SundaySupper is a special one, we are working with Land O Lakes and have been asked to prepare simple and fresh summer recipes using their new butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt.

Each blogger participating this week received coupons from Land O Lakes to try out the new product, but unfortunately I had no luck finding it near me!

I’m a proud city gal, and I find very few faults with the city – well except for the Subway (but who am I kidding, everybody complains about that!) However, it can be difficult at times to find a new product when it is launched.  With our small grocery stores, it’s a challenge to stock every product in demand.

I ended up mailing my coupons to another blogger, but I plan on keeping an eye out.  I have a tendency to add a little butter to my olive oil when I’m cooking, but this new butter would save me from doing both! It also adds a little heart healthiness to baked goods.

Now, I know what you are thinking right now. A Julia Child recipe, simple?

Yes, as a matter of fact, this is perhaps one of Julia’s easiest recipes and can be prepared in about 10 minutes.

Fresh sole requires little preparation beyond a dusting of flour, salt, pepper, plenty of butter and some lemon juice.

What better way to use the butter than with a Julia Child inspired recipe? She loved butter and so do I. Great recipe to share for #SundaySupper
