For a simple yet show stopping dessert look no further than the easy tarte tatin. All you need is 4 ingredients to bake up this wonderfully aromatic Concord Grape Tarte Tatin.
Today we are going to work on switching things up a little bit, I’m working with Viva® Vantage® and their 7-Day Switch Up campaign to come up with clever ways to shake up your routine.
Are you guilty of getting stuck in the same routine and falling into a rut? I totally am, whether it’s cooking up similar dishes, wearing the same outfits all the time or even my daily routine. It’s so easy to just do what you know, cook what you like and wear what looks best on you! There’s nothing wrong with it but being in a rut can get boring after awhile.
Last week I met up with a number of food and lifestyle bloggers to learn about Viva® Vantage® paper towels. I confess to using one brand for a long time because it’s the one that I grew up with and the one that I knew and was comfortable using at home.
Besides learning experiencing the stretchy-strength of Viva® Vantage® and the great scrubbing power, we also switched up some household routines that you may or may not already be utilizing at home. For example, as you can see paper towels are the perfect use for rinsing off fruit and vegetables. When I’m grabbing some grapes for a snack or to make my tarte tatin here, I always go for a paper towel. It’s so much easier to just run it under the water instead of breaking out the colander.
With Viva® Vantage®, the stretchy-strength allows you to rinse off and reuse that towel again to scrub down the counters or clean out the sink. No waste and it’s great for multiple uses! A few other handy tips we learned are:
- Hand wash your wine glasses and dry with Viva® Vantage® for a sparkling finish
- Keep your lettuce and herbs fresh by wrapping them in paper towels and placing in a plastic bag.
- Use Viva® Vantage® to get the grime off your stove or counter tops. Who wants to dirty your sponge when you can scrub away and toss it out?
- Does your cutting board slip out from under you? Solve that problem with a damp towel underneath it.
So now that I’m in the midst of my 7-Day Switch Up, I thought I’d take it to the kitchen and switch up a few things that I consistently do.
First up, when it comes to fall baking I consistently use apples and every once and awhile pears. Did you know that grapes are in season right now? Did you know that grapes have a season? Perhaps not since they are available year round but fall is the best time of year for them, especially Concord Grapes.
Step 1: Change up the fruit.
Step 2: Change up how I prepare it.
I seem to always make the same easy single layer cake, either with fruit on top or with on the bottom. A pie would have been different enough, but why not something even easier and a little french? Insert the Tarte Tatin! Usually baked with apples, I switched it up (<— see what I did there?) with the Concord Grapes and turned it into a gorgeously hued and incredibly easy dessert that anyone can make.
The most difficult part is seeding your grapes and even that isn’t all that challenging.
You can kick off your own 7-Day Switch Up at any time by visiting Viva® Vantage’s® website and grabbing a coupon to purchase the product yourself. After trying out the product, make sure to visit the site again to enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card!
