Get ready for the Big Game with these easy, no-fuss Spicy Korean Meatballs. These meatballs are so good, they might just become the MVP of the day.
One of the biggest eating days in the U.S. is just around the corner. Are you ready for it? Do you have your dips, spreads, snacks, wings and chips ready to go?
No?
Oh, well that’s okay because today we are going to solve that problem with easy, tasty and fast appetizers that will keep your attention on the game and out of the kitchen. Sounds like a good plan, right?
I don’t know about you, but it seems whenever I’m hosting a party that’s all about the appetizers – a food, mind you, that should be simple to prepare – I end up spending way to much time prepping, cooking, cleaning and not really enjoying myself. There’s no fun in that, especially by the time you actually get to the food you’ve cooked, it’s already a) mostly eaten or b) gone cold.
Those days have got to end, it’s time to enjoy yourself and lucky for you, I have a way to do it with game day snacks from Farm Rich. Located in your freezer aisle, you’ll find toasted ravioli (like mozzarella sticks but better), bone-in BBQ wings (no need to break out the fryer and you get your wing fix), and meatballs (which is just looking to be covered with something saucy).
Game Day entertaining, meet your new friends.
Speaking of friends, look at that, now you have more time to spend with them instead of in the kitchen!
The options are a great way to mix in classic appetizers that you know your friends and family will expect and something bold, spicy, new, spicy and exciting. Did I mention spicy?
Since I love the flavors of ethnic and Asian cuisines, all I could think of was how great a spicy Korean sauce – similar to what you might find on Korean fried chicken – would be on the meatballs. I grew up with some sort of saucy meatballs as our family party appetizers, you know, the ones made with chile sauce and jelly but this version will knock that one out of the park. Your tastes buds will be tantalized and perhaps a little bit on fire but it’s well worth it!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup gochujang (Korean chile paste)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1- 28oz package of Farm Rich Original Meatballs
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat whisk together the ginger, garlic, gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and sesame oil. Bring the sauce to a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Place the meatballs on a parchment lined rimmed baking sheet and bake them according to the packages directions.
- Once the meatballs are cooked through, carefully transfer the meatballs to the mixing bowl containing the sauce and toss to cover thoroughly.
- Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
- If there is extra sauce, feel free to place it in a dipping bowl on the side.

These sound (and look) incredibly flavorful! I love how easy to prepare they are too. Aisan ingredients are my favorite!
You had me at Korean chili paste!! YUM!
I can TOTALLY relate to this! I hosted a little Super Bowl gathering once, and I foolishly thought I would just “pop into the kitchen” and make wings / pizza / etc. throughout the night. So of course what happened is I spent the whole night in the kitchen and missed the game and all the commercials. Never again! These meatballs look so flavorful, and are reminded me that I need to get a new tub of gochujang. Such a versatile thing to have in the fridge.
It’s my problem at every party I host. No matter how much I prepare ahead, I always fall behind and end up in the kitchen the entire time.
Perfect Super Bowl snack! For some reason, I am always craving meatballs and these look perfect for a flavorful, easy-to-prepare game-day party!
It isn’t a Super Bowl party without meatballs! This looks like a winner!
Oh my goodness, these flavors sound so good! I love that you really made these meatballs into your own with that sauce.
I really like the sound of this one. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I’m officially inviting you over for the big game. But, you must bring these delicious, saucy balls, m’kay? Pinned.
LOVing these meatballs!!
