Strawberry Rose Sangria

Strawberry Rose Sangria

The first rule of brunch here in NY is to start with a cocktail, your basics would be a mimosa or bloody mary.  If you are lucky you might find sangria or a specialty brunch cocktail on the menu, it’s all about hair of the dog correct?

Strawberry Rose Sangria

I figured the best way to kick off my #brunchweek contributions was to provide you with a cocktail.  Mother’s day is fast approaching on Sunday and if your mom is like mine, they love rose, excuse me I mean white zinfandel.  This sangria promises to be the perfect compromise between your moms favorite white zin and the crisp, dry rose that you like to enjoy on a warm summer’s eve.

First thank you! My mom loves white zin too! She always had a bottle ready at hand in the fridge for a when she had a difficult day at work. Christine reached out to some people she knew and the rest she sent an open invite to members of the Food Bloggers Network group on Facebook. Do you belong to that one? You should definitely join, wonderful group of bloggers and the discussions are fabulous!

I was never big on brunch until I moved to Philly (we always just called it ‘breakfast’) where it’s HUGE! Now it’s easily my favorite meal 🙂 Perfect if you get up early or late on a weekend! Though I could easily drink this sangria at any time of day! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!
