Cheers to us! The kitchen is done.  The contractors worked fast and hard Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  They installed the counter tops, sink, faucet, painted, tiled, hooked up the oven and microwave and cleaned up the joint. 

In just 7 – some would say short, but to us felt long (in reality the work only took 7, but we lived with the mess for 10) days we have a brand new kitchen.  It feels weird, it’s like looking into an alternative realty from the rest of our apartment.  I love it though.  I have no idea where to put anything yet, the apartment is free from the construction clutter, but it’s still a mess from everything else and it will stay that way.  We are off to Montreal tomorrow for 5 days.  It will just have to sit for a little while longer.  

I thought it might be fun to do a little comparison of the before and after.
