Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of. . .Pimm’s?
Ahem, err sorry there, looks like I’m still in talk like a pirate day mode from yesterday.
Let’s try this again.
The Pimm’s love is back. Did you think it was going to disappear just because summer is (almost) over?
Oh no, no no. In this house, the Pimm’s flows all year round.
This time around we’ve taken a classic cocktail and put a Pimm’s twist on things.
In case you didn’t know Pimm’s No. 1 is made with a base of gin and spices and so it’s the perfect compliment to other gin cocktails. Normally I’m a gin and tonic drinker during the warmer months but since the heat is never ending as we officially dive into fall this week – let’s make Pimm’s and Tonic our start of fall official drink.
After all, look at this color – doesn’t it remind you of the changing leaves soon to be coming your way? It may not taste like fall in a glass but it certainly looks like it!
So while the name may make this cocktail sound like a little more work than your standard G&T. I promise it’s just as easy as the classic and a great after worker sipper. All you’re doing is just adding a little extra splash of Pimm’s No. 1 with your gin, tonic and squeeze of lime. The cocktail is full of the botanical fruity flavor from the Pimm’s and the lovely effervescence from the tonic.
Pour everything over some ice, sit down, relax and enjoy! Cheers my friends!
