Now you really didn’t think I was going to let this year end without just one last cocktail did you?
Nah, I couldn’t do that! You need something to fun and festive to ring in the new year! I know it’s not champagne, I tried to do a cocktail – I really did but all those champagne dreams went into cake this year. This cocktail still has fizz and frankly I think it’s more fun to clink big copper mugs than delicate champagne glasses anyway.
Are you with me on that one? You have to admit, the humble Moscow Mule becomes a lot more festive because of the glassware it’s served in. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to celebrate with a glass of bubbly on any special celebration but a creative libation gets my attention more often than none.
Since pomegranates have a long tradition of bringing good luck in the New Year, then you honestly have no reason not to go forth and make this pear pomegranate mule.
This drink is filled with winter fruits, ginger beer and a squeeze of lime. It’s so easy to mix together that it’s perfect for 1 or 2 or a large gathering of friends. Although in my opinion the copper mugs are not optional, put that Christmas money to good use and pick up a few mugs to add to your barware!
