Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs

Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs make the perfect easy and delicious appetizer to cook up for any unexpected guests during the holiday season.

Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs I thought with just a few days left to go before Christmas and a week before New Years, one last easy recipe was in order.  I came up with these Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs to serve as an appetizer for Thanksgiving and they went so quickly off the plate I just had to share them with you today.

The combination of the sweet figs, creamy goat cheese and salty bacon is an irresistible combination.  In just 30 minutes you can put together an appetizer so impressive your guests would never know it was as simple as 1,2,3.

Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs Step 1: Cut a slit in your figs.

Step 2: Stuff with goat cheese

Step 3: Wrap with bacon and bake.

Easy right? I guess technically it should be 4 steps, but that’s not as catchy.  You can even prep these the day before if you want to save on time.  So be sure to keep these ingredients on hand for that surprise visitor, they’d almost think you were expecting them!

Since figs are out of season I used a dried variety, if by chance you can get some fresh figs, then by all means switch out the dried ones suggestion below for fresh!

Great and luvly appetizer. Since there is goat’s cheese involved, there is already no question about it’s a winner … eh … there wasn’t any question about that anyway.

I tried this bust used big fresh figs and substituted ricotta cheese (not everyone in my home will eat goat cheese). I also drizzled with honey and sprinkled pecans on top before baking. Soooo yummy!!! Figs are my honey’s favorite so it’s great to find fun and unique recipes like this to spoil him with during the short season 🙂

Kendra – I’m loving your substitutions! I would have definitely swapped it out for fresh figs for this time of year as well and the honey pecan topping sounds incredible! Your honey sounds very lucky to have someone like you! Thanks for letting me know how it turned out.
